After making sure you are set with your fishing gear, you and an experienced San Juan River guide will launch off in a drift boat from the Rainbow Lodge in the morning or afternoon, depending on the type of trip you select. Throughout the next 4 hours, you will drift, anchor and fish the public Quality Waters of the San Juan River.
Your guide will take care of keeping your fishing gear ready to go with flies or lures as well as offer expert instruction and tips on fishing these waters. You will be led through some of the best trout fishing waters in the world! All you need to do is cast and land world-class trout!
The San Juan River Quality Waters located below Navajo Dam, are considered to be among the top three world-class streams in the West. The constant year round temperature (45 degrees) of the water in the river has created a four season fishery unequaled in the U.S., producing fantastic fishing for trophy rainbow trout averaging 17 inches and two to four pounds. Rainbows over 20 inches are frequently caught on these waters!
All fishing gear will be provided as well as beverages during your trip.
Although we provide most of the fishing gear you will need for an unforgettable day on the water, you should make sure to pack some minimal gear of your own such as the proper clothing, your own pair of polarized sunglasses and other personal items.
To help you in your preparations for the fishing trip of a lifetime we have prepared a checklist of what we recommend you pack or wear for a trip with Resolution Guide Service.
